Elizabeth EbadiRad

President.

Major: Natural Resources - Wildlife Conservation and Management, Senior

Hey there, everyone! My name is Elizabeth. I transferred to the UofA three years ago from Arizona Western College. Conservation education is something that I am very passionate about. My dream career is to work for one of the National Parks or a zoo/aquarium and become an educator. In my academic future, I plan to work towards a doctorate degree specializing in tortoise and turtle conservation.

Vice President.

Major: Veterinary Science, Sophomore

I am from Prescott, Arizona. In the long run, I will be applying to The University of Arizona College of Veterinary Medicine, in hopes of pursing a veterinarian career. As of now, I am broadening my experiences and knowledge in the lab and out in the field while keeping in mind other career paths found in the STEM area. Upon graduating I am hoping to graduate with the Honors College, and with early acceptance into the College of Veterinary Medicine. However outside of academics, I enjoy the outdoors, running, and everything that involves our wildlife as I love learning more about what's out there!

I am a senior here at the UofA who is studying Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. I've always enjoyed learning about life and everything that makes it tick and I am thrilled to be a part of the USFWS 2022-2023 officer team!

Riley Gallagher

Secretary.

Major: Natural Resources - Ecology, Management and Restoration of Ecology, Sophomore

Hi! My name is Riley and I'm a sophomore studying natural resources. I'm not sure of my focus yet but I'm interested in rangeland ecosystems and GIS. I'm from Vermont where I grew up on a horse farm and I enjoy anything outdoors from skiing, hiking, rock climbing, camping, hiking... when I'm not outside I'm usually spending time with friends or reading. I'm looking forward to being the secretary for UAFWS and being part of the research committee!

Dalton Sonnenberg

Historian.

Major: Natural Resources - Wildlife Conservation & Management, Senior

My name is Dalton Sonnenberg and I will be the club’s historian for the 2022-23 school year! I have always been interested in the natural world and knew I wanted to be a wildlife biologist since 8th grade. My favorite outdoor activities include hiking, backpacking, and just simply looking for any cool animals. I specifically like birds and reptiles, so living in Arizona has been a lot of fun. I plan to receive my B.S. in the spring of 2023 and then pursue a Master’s and perhaps even a PhD in Wildlife Biology after that (hopefully at the UofA). My ultimate goal is to either be a herpetologist in Arizona/California, or an ornithologist in Hawaii.

JoJo Fleming

Social Media Representative.

Major: Veterinary Science,

Hello! My name is Jolynn Fleming, but you can call me Jo. I am a transfer student from Mesa Community college where I participated in the Pole Vault for the track and field team, and achieved an associates in science. After transferring here, I realized I had no clue what I wanted to do in the future but I knew it was something with science and animals. I am very passionate about wildlife rehabilitation and animal conservation, I’m just not sure how I am going to fit into this field yet. This is why I'm here to figure it out!
