Kaitlyn Tyler

President.

Major: Natural Resources - Wildlife Conservation and Management, Junior

After graduating I am hoping to use my degree from UA to become a Riparian Biologist and focus on helping repair and protect endangered species and their equally endangered riparian habitats. While completing my next 2-3 years at the university I hope to learn as much as I can about riparian ecosystems and the vast biodiversity within them, so that I can be a voice for the species that don't have one.

Hey there, everyone! My name is Elizabeth. I transferred to the UofA three years ago from Arizona Western College. Conservation education is something that I am very passionate about. My dream career is to work for one of the National Parks or a zoo/aquarium and become an educator. In my academic future, I plan to work towards a doctorate degree specializing in tortoise and turtle conservation.

Angie Shah

Secretary.

Major: Ecology/Evolutionary Biology, Sophomore

Hi, I'm Angie. I grew up in Tucson and have always loved learning about the desert around me. This is my second year at the U of A, and also my second year as part of the club! I would love to learn more about zoo and aquarium work during my time here and hope to pursue animal care and conservation work in the future. Reptiles and amphibians are some of my favorites and I have been really happy to be involved with the club's herp research, as well.

Jared Farquhar

Historian.

Major: Natural Resources - Wildlife Conservation and Management, Senior

My name is Jared Farquhar! I was born in rural IL and moved to AZ right before high school to better my chances of playing baseball as a career but then my love for the outdoors and wildlife took over. I began incessantly hiking, mountain biking, fishing, hunting, herping, and camping and haven't stopped since. I have experience with both exotic and native animal husbandry as well varied experience in wildlife research, specifically in the fields of herpetology and fisheries management. I have spent time working at golf courses, as a fisheries technician, an exotic animaI caretaker/presenter, and as part of a USFS Wilderness and Trails Crew in the Sawtooth National Forest among other positions. I will be graduating in May of 2022 and hope to gain a variety of different experiences working seasonal field jobs and spending as much time outdoors as possible.
